Marriage is a daily choice, not a one-time thing.
If you think your wedding marks a happy ever after, then you're wrong. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Marriage takes work, and I mean a lot of work. Often, there are more lows than highs, and it's a conscious choice to stay despite that. Every day, you wake up and decide to commit to your spouse—as written in your marriage vows—for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.
A lasting marriage is not founded on what was displayed to the public. In reality, it is forged in difficult times. Every time you see a happy couple, there is a hidden moment of agony filled with tears and screaming.
So marriage is not just about love; it's about your choice to commit.
