00. What is Cybersecurity ? | Introduction to Cybersecurity

So Let's start from the very beginning of the universe cybersecurity.

First of all Cybersecurity is not a single field or a single domain or a single job that you can do…

There are a lots of field inside it and each one of them are connected to each and and many times they overlap with each other that thing also make people to quit this field or to get confused.

So Here in this post we'll talk about them one by one (maybe not in one post but topic wise in different posts i guess)

Let's Start then,

First of all i want you to keep in mind one thing that hacking that we sees in movies are way much different (fictional and not real) than real life hacking.

Okay now the very first topic that we'll cover in this post is: What is Cyber ? What is Security ? and then combining both of them What is Cybersecurity ?

Cyber:

Cyber means online space — if we say in simple term, cyber is the online space or a virtual world where people connects with each other and share information.

This cyber world or the world which in online contains servers, networks, devices, any thing that we see in our day to day life any app like instagram or facebook or google of youtube or twitter ( X ) or any other platform or services, these all things are connected with each other in this cyber space / cyber world.

Security:

Security means protecting something or giving protection to something or someone

Now the main term,

Cybersecurity:

Cyber + Security, simply means giving Protection to devices and systems of the user and company in the cyber space or internet from external threat like hacker or attacker or an adversary or group of adversaries or from internal misconfiguration of the system or the flaw in the system design or in very very very simple term saving your company's computer and data from a thief.
