Abstract
This paper examines the importance of redundancy in a community, and ethical issues about its exploitation and restriction. Redundancy acts not only as a buffer against damage but also relates to value creation. On the other hand, if redundancy is restricted, it becomes more prone to further restriction. Excessive redundancy in the present generation can cause restrictions for future generations. This is exploitation and must possess a valid basis. The failures in the youth of the young are a symbol of redundancy that will be restricted first of all. Serious failures damage redundancy. Similar to future restrictions, restrictions in the present require a valid basis.
1. The importance of redundancy: Buffering damage and value creation
Redundancy is important in a community. Redundancy allows for failures and unexpected damage. Redundancy also facilitates unprecedented value creation. In that value creation, there are many instances where the contribution to individuals or the community is minimal. However, there is possibility of creating innovative value or value that occasionally contributes significantly to survival or social institutions. The loss of redundancy deprives the opportunity for such creation. Furthermore, a community deficient in redundancy must allocate resources to survival and social maintenance. In this situation, options are limited even for survival and social maintenance. Failure is not allowed, and unexpected damage becomes a fatal wound. Redundancy becomes more prone to further restriction.
2. Restriction of future redundancy as exploitation
Although it is not an issue of resources alone, redundancy is significantly related to resources. Additionally, investing resources can expand redundancy. On the other hand, consuming resources inefficiently or excessively leads to the restriction of future redundancy. In order to maintain or develop redundancy, appropriate investment of resources is required.
If future redundancy is restricted due to excessive redundancy in the present, it is clearly unilateral exploitation of future generations by the present generation. When exploitation occurs, the present generation must possess a valid basis regarding the exploitation toward future generations.
3. Redundancy as foolish youth
The youth of the young can be cited as a symbol of redundancy. First of all, it is redundancy as the society as a whole. Furthermore, it is also redundancy born from leisure in each household. In addition, it does not directly contribute to living or survival.
Here, many young people experience diverse events and make foolish failures that seem impossible when looking back. This experience nurtures their humanity, and that contributes to society. Redundancy itself is an asset that directly contributes to society.
When communities and families lose their redundancy, the demand for young labor increases. Youth is the first thing to be restricted.Failures during youth are even less tolerated.
4. Restriction by serious failures, and the problem of restrictions in the present
This does not mean the defense of serious failures. If it is recognized as a serious failure, it is not an allowable failure. It is outside of redundancy. Furthermore, when attempting to restrict serious failures, it is difficult to restrict only concrete failures. There is no choice but to restrict a part of redundancy at the same time, or to result in insufficient restriction.
In addition, there are cases where redundancy is actively restricted, just as permitted discrimination has been restricted. For not few who discriminate, discrimination itself is not directly related to their survival. After all, even in the restriction of redundancy of the present generation, a valid basis must be accompanied.
Conclusion
It is first an ethical issue that the present generation does not exploit the redundancy of future generations. Even when exploiting, they must possess a valid basis. the restriction of the present is similar.
In redundancy, one of the things restricted first is the youth of the young. In the exploitation and restriction of redundancy, protecting the foolish failures of the young possesses a symbolic meaning.
