AI is moving way faster than traditional education can keep up with. With new tools, concepts, and frameworks landing almost daily, we clearly need fresh ways to learn and master these technologies as they emerge.
That's what makes the collaboration between Google and Kaggle so exciting. Since launching their first "5 Day Intensive" course in 2024, more than two million developers and learners have jumped into these free, multi-modal programs. The latest iteration โ the 5-Day AI Agents: Intensive Vibe Coding Course with Google โ drew in over 353,000 registered participants.
The focus this time was the frontier of "vibe coding" โ programming using natural language โ and walking through the entire lifecycle of designing, securing, and deploying production-grade AI agents in the cloud. The massive turnout proved that developers everywhere are eager to take their prototypes "from vibe to live."
Here is a quick look at how the community engaged during the intensive:
Real-time learning: Hundreds of thousands of participants worked through codelabs and technical whitepapers together.
Active Discord hub: Over 392,000 active members gathered on Kaggle's Discord to swap code, troubleshoot bugs, and run study groups.
Hands-on capstones: The week ended with over 6,000 project submissions built by more than 12,000 active participants.
The capstone submissions highlighted incredible technical skill and imagination. Highlights included Palimpsest, a digital humanities pipeline for transcribing historical manuscripts, and Project ARIES (capstone project), a complex research system for monitoring space weather.
