But There Is No True Escapism
Every version of you was necessary

Even the one you're ashamed of.
You can't escape what's inside you. You can ignore it, reject it, deny it — but there is no true escapism.
Whether you choose to change completely, let yourself be eaten by the bugs of regret, or spend your life writing a book of regret, the truth remains the same.
And what are you embarrassed of?
Crying in front of someone who doesn't know your worth? Or trying over and over again to be part of a group, yet never feeling welcomed?
There are hundreds of things you're ashamed of, and hundreds of times you've tried something new, hundreds of people you've tried to become.
But how far can your heart go without accepting itself as it is?
The greatest irony of the human heart is its inability to accept itself as it feels, as it truly is.
Your eyes carry humiliation whenever you look into the mirror — not necessarily because you're ashamed of something, but because you're seeing yourself in a way that is not truly you.
A part of you remains completely unexplored until you meet the version of yourself you are today.
That heartbreak was inevitable.
Not being able to confess your feelings to someone. Walking willingly into an illusion when all you thought of was love.
Believing someone when you shouldn't have.
Every single thing led you here today; the version of you that exists now is here because you allowed your past selves to follow what their hearts said.
Your different versions survived, too. Every version is a reflection of yourself.
So stop mourning the person you once were.
Embrace the path you walk on. Honor the nights you cried yourself to sleep and survived them.
Be a passenger on the next journey.
Let the wounds, scars, longing, happiness, and desire remain with you, for the fragments of who you were still belong to who you are.
Until words find me again — Khush.
