Dork “Cottage”: An Unapologetic Nomad Manifesto on True Wealth

People are forming relationships both online and offline, one choice at a time.
Members and newcomers alike feel as though they have arrived at a welcoming door when they are guided by entrance postings that represent who they are.
People build with creative warmth.
Caring people develop strength in each member. Quality communities focus entirely on every single individual being built, which totally shifts the focus from crowd control to hosting the welcome.
Some people have an attitude of Nomading is drifting. Well, I'm here to tell you that Nomading is not drifting.
Nomads are decision-makers. They are not a desiccated tumbleweed blowing around the desert. They are not a desiccated piece of driftwood.
To be a Nomad, you must be a leader. Nomads prepare for their today, their tomorrows, and emotionally commit to their futures. Nomads have clarity and control and purpose. They are brilliant navigators!
Nomads are not out here working against all odds. They organize themselves, along with making preparations that guide one another. That is what being a Nomad is all about.
So when you build with creative warmth, all digital front doors and physical entryways become active invitations. And yes, healthy boundaries need to be on every door.
Nomads collaborate. They know what you need, what you want. What's next? Tomorrow? The future?
It stops being about traffic or metrics and becomes about recognition.
A welcoming entrance posting does more than list rules or directions; it reflects the identity of the people inside while honoring the dignity of the person walking up to it.
The idea that quality communities focus on every member being built is the true architecture of how people gather.
You may feel the word "architecture" is a word beyond what you might add here with NOMADing, but I tell you that is a word that builds on people not only with integrity but also on people who build on ways coming through for me and for my like-minded Themer NOMADs.
They listen and understand their own needs and the needs of others. They know how it feels to be navigating.
In a typical setup, a few people take the initiative, while the rest simply follow suit.
However, in a care-focused environment, the infrastructure is designed to strengthen individuals. Each member is a foundation and an energy that helps shape the community and strengthen its future.
This means belonging under your own nickname in groups that honor your lifestyle. You all can call me "Cottage!"
It means creating room for NOMADing, creative pages, business pages, and personal pages alike, giving people the freedom to show exactly who they are on the road and within the communities they choose to call home.
That is the distinction between building genuine wealth in a community that is trustworthy and shared, where visitors are recognized by name. It could be their personal name, pen name, creative name, or even business name.
The strongest communities attract people because they recognize and build them, resulting in reciprocal relationships!
Now, I've not told you a Nomad story yet. Dork "Cottage" here!
I've hung around with some pretty cool people. Most of the people I go with are pretty small tribes. It's not like Quartz or anything like stadium size.
I feel less pressure that way and love what I do that way. Now navigating is of importance, and even so, I do fly by the seat of my pants somewhat.
I gather lists of interstates, roads, and paths. I feel wealthy and really alive living this way. It's like having no flies on me. It's a cure for having been living the corporate schedule.
So how is it now? I'm a part-time Nomad.
I wake up in the morning and see I don't have that 1:00 or 2:00 appointment on schedule to serve and deliver for corporate. I love that freedom.
I've been on the road for quite some time. When I think about having been a young traveler with family, a school bus driver, and a truck driver in every state except Alaska, I know I have a degree in road travel.
So, where's the story? Right now I feel i'm in an unapologetic position to be real.
Do I really want to be known only as a NOMAD? Nope.
I'm a "Copy Chief" editor, author/writer, and yeah, I write for me, and as I do, I write for you as well.
But wait a minute, I'm also an artist.
