Countering a Troll Wiki Hit Piece: The Encyclopedia Dramatica Page on Greg Steuber

On or around October 8 — 9, 2026, Encyclopedia Dramatica published a long article about me. It calls me "VirtualRapist" and "Diddler on the Roof," claims I am not actually connected to Lizard Squad, and frames roughly fifteen years of online activity as grooming, sextortion, and predation of minors. It also casually notes that "international gangsters lobbed three portable Ezbake ovens" through the window of my Staten Island house.

Encyclopedia Dramatica is a long-running satirical/troll wiki. The New York Times once described it as effectively a "troll archive." Its style is deliberate parody mixed with selective fact and outright invention. That does not make every claim on it false by default, but it does mean the piece should be read with that context. This article lays out the documented sequence that preceded the ED page and addresses the core accusations.

Who I Am and the Lizard Squad Record

I am Greg Steuber. Online I have used the name Ryan and the account @urharmless for years. I was involved with Lizard Squad in 2014, primarily on the web exploitation side and as one of the operators behind a botnet used in the Christmas attacks against Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. There were multiple people using variations of the name "Ryan" in that era. I have written previously about the distinction between myself, Julius Kivimäki (RyanC / Zeekill), and others. Joe Tidy's 2025 book Ctrl+Alt+Chaos draws on interviews with me as one of the primary sources for the Lizard Squad material.

I am not, and have never claimed to be, the sole or undisputed leader of the group. The ED page's insistence that I "decided I was the leader" and "am not" is a simplification that ignores both contemporaneous accounts and the reporting that later treated my involvement as credible enough for a major book.

The Doxxing and the Firebombing

In January 2026 my personal information — including addresses, date of birth, Social Security number, and banking details — was posted on doxxing sites associated with BWA and related circles. This was not abstract. It included material on family members.

On the night of March 18, 2026, three Molotov cocktails were thrown at my home in Staten Island. Surveillance showed men getting out of a dark vehicle, hurling the devices (at least one of which went through a window), and driving away. None of the devices ignited or exploded. There were no injuries reported. The incident was reported by the New York Daily News, FOX 5 New York, CBS New York, ABC7, and others. NYPD treated it as an attempted arson / explosive-device case and canvassed for video and witnesses. I have cooperated with federal and local law enforcement on the doxxing and the attack.

The ED article treats the Molotovs as a punchline ("portable Ezbake ovens"). The public police and news record does not.

The Smear Campaign and the ED Page

After I publicly discussed Robert Barr (Veri) and his involvement of minors in cutting activities, and after the book interviews, a sustained campaign began that sought to reframe me as a predator. This has included impersonation accounts, repeated doxxing of family members, swatting reports, and false DMCA claims. The Encyclopedia Dramatica article is the latest installment. It was created by an editor going by "Rize," recycles the predator framing, denies the Lizard Squad connection that Tidy's reporting accepted, and explicitly references the Molotov attack while continuing the same narrative.

I am not a pedophile. I am not a predator. I have stated this repeatedly under penalty of perjury in formal reports. The ED page offers no primary evidence for its strongest claims; it relies on old handles, selective chat logs taken out of context, fabricated evidence, and the accumulated noise of years of scene drama. That is how these pages are built.

What the Record Actually Shows

• The Lizard Squad involvement and the book interviews are public and contemporaneous with Tidy's reporting.
• The January 2026 doxxing and the March 18 Molotov attack are documented by law enforcement and multiple news outlets.
• The subsequent campaign to label me a predator followed those events and the public statements about Barr.
• Encyclopedia Dramatica's own history as a troll wiki is not in dispute.

People can disagree about the ethics of the 2014 activity. That is separate from whether a firebombing and a doxxing campaign occurred, and separate from whether the current ED article is a fair or accurate account. It is not.

I have continued to cooperate with law enforcement on the physical attack and the doxxes. Anyone with primary evidence that contradicts the public record is welcome to produce it. Screenshots of old drama and a satirical wiki page are not a substitute for that evidence.

In addition, Interpol has published a Red Notice for Robert Barr following reports that he left his home country while awaiting trial.
