


I'm deeply disapponted with the account recovery system implemented by Genshin Impact. My account was compromised by a hacker, an incredibly frustrating experience in itself. To add to my distress, despite my best efforts to prove that I am the rightful owner of the account, the support team has been unhelpful. I have supplied what I believe is substantial and convincing evidence of my ownership through my registered email address, hoping that would be sufficient for them to reinstate my access. However, the support team is adamant that I must complete a formal application for account recovery. The major obstacle I face is my inability to recall the precise date when I initially joined Genshin Impact. This information is a required field on the application, and without it, I am effectively blocked from proceeding with the recovery process. It seems unreasonable that a large and successful company such as Hoyoverse, the developers of Genshin Impact, does not have alternative or supplementary methods available to verify and confirm account ownership. I would expect a company of this size to have more flexible and user-friendly procedures in place to assist players who find themselves in similar situations, rather than relying solely on a single, easily forgotten piece of information. Hoyoverse, my account was hacked and scheduled for deletion on May 7th. I understand you can recover deleted accounts with proof of ownership.
