Shri Venkateshwara University, along with UP Police Amroha, inaugurated the Cyber Security Internship Program 2026 at its premises.
Over 850 students and cybersecurity enthusiasts from 28 states and Union territories are taking part in this Internship Program. These participants from engineering, cyber management, and cyber law are taking part in this 2 week-long internship.
Over 2 dozen cybersecurity experts from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Kolkata and other places will train participants on various ways to combat cybercrime.
The ADG, DIG, and SP interacted with participants through video conferencing.
Keynote Speaker Mr. Amit Dubey, Amroha SP Mr. Lakhan Singh Yadav, Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and the ASP Mr. Akhilesh Bhadoria inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddeess Saraswati.
DSP Mrs Anjali Katariya, VC Dr KK Dave and the Director of Finance Mr. Yuvraj Singh joined them to unveil the Cyber Security Internship Program 2026 at Shri Venkateshwara University.
After the inauguration ceremony Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi thanked all the dignitaries and, along with SP Mr. Lakhan Singh Yadav, felicitated them by gifting them mementos.
Cyber expert Amit Dubey stated that police and cyber warriors need to be ten times more advanced than cybercriminals to combat offenses such as hacking, phishing, digital arrest, malware, ransomware, and banking fraud. Only then can we prevent cybercrimes and arrest cybercriminals.
The Venkateshwara Group's honorable founder President Shri Sudhir Giri congratulated UP Police for organizing this workshop and extended his greetings to all participants.
Pro-chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi said the Venkateshwara Group has launched over a dozen certificate courses on cybersecurity, digital fraud, hacking, and ecommerce fraud. By pursuing these courses, people can not only protect themselves against cyber fraud but also teach others how to prevent cybercrimes.
SP Amroha Mr. Lakhan Singh Yadav affirmed that increasing cyber crimes not only cause personal loss but pose a threat to national security too. In order to curb cyber crimes informed students and voluntary organizations should join hands with the police to prevent them.
ASP Mr. Akhilesh Bhadoria said Amroha Police is doing commendable work of preventing cyber crimes by nurturing Cyber warriors throughout the country.
DSP Mrs Anjali Katariya announced that on 22nd June, the last day of the internship, renowned cyber experts, senior UP Police officials along with University officials will provide certificates and credits to the participants who successfully complete the internship. DSP Anjali Katariya is the Chief Coordinator of the Cyber Security Internship Program 2026.
Those present included the jubilant Director Sunil Dixit, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Suman Kashyap, Dr Anjali Bhardwaj, Dr Neetu Panwar, Dr Aashiya Wahid, and Dr Shilpa Raina.
Dr Manish, cyber expert Mr. Bhanu Sharma, Dr Vikas Pandey, Dr Amit Kumar were all present.
From the Meerut Campus, Group Director Dr Pankaj Kumar was present along with the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
Jubilant Bharti Foundation, TriNet and Serium Solutions were the key partners in the Cyber Security Internship Program.
