Almost everyone around me was doing web development. My friends had relatives in companies, referrals, and guidance. But in my case, I had none of that.
No family background in tech. No referrals. No financial support to buy expensive courses. And being from a tier-3 college made things even more difficult.
Honestly, I was scared.
I kept asking myself: "What should I do?" "How will I get a job?"
One day, I connected with a senior who had already passed out. That conversation changed everything.
He introduced me to Cybersecurity.
At first, I was shocked. "Why didn't I think about this earlier?"
Through him, I got connected to Gaurav Jha, who was running a startup called CyberElite Task Force (CETF) focused on Cyber Forensics.
This is where my journey actually began.
I received proper mentorship, guidance, and most importantly — direction.
Within just 3 months, everything changed.
I learned real skills instead of just theory: • Linux basics • Networking • Cybersecurity fundamentals • Practical understanding of attacks
And the result?
Before even completing my college degree, I got a job.
Yes — a real job in cybersecurity.
All of this was possible not because of money, not because of referrals — but because of the right mentorship and skills.
Coming from a non-strong financial background, this journey was not easy.
But today, I'm in a much better place.
And I know one thing for sure: I've achieved something… but a lot more is still left to achieve.
