I recently completed the MCP Security course provided by Practical DevSecOps, covering MCP attacks, defense techniques, threat modeling, and DevSecOps practices for AI applications.
Overall, I enjoyed the course and found the chapters on threat modeling, DevSecOps, CI/CD security, and vulnerability scanning to be the most valuable and practical parts of the training.
One thing to be aware of is that this is not a beginner-level course. I would recommend having at least a basic understanding of AI concepts, chatbots, and some programming experience before taking it.
I did face some challenges with the MCP attack labs, as the lab environment was occasionally unstable and some exercises required multiple attempts to complete. During the course, I reported several lab issues to the team, and I'm hopeful these will be addressed in future updates to further improve the learning experience.
Overall, if you're interested in MCP security, threat modeling, and securing AI applications throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle, I think the course provides useful insights and hands-on experience.
There is currently a discount available for the course. If you've been considering expanding your knowledge of MCP and AI security, now is a great opportunity to take advantage of it.
