What Does An AI-Powered Media Company Look Like?
A newsroom ran entirely by machines?

I've been having a lot of conversations around the concept of an "AI-powered media company," and I've noticed that when people hear this phrase, they usually imagine a newsroom run almost entirely by machines.
But I don't think that's what an AI-powered media company will look like.
In fact, I think it will still be run by people.
The difference is just how those people spend their time. Instead of spending hours producing content, they will spend their time managing the systems that produce it.
See, traditional media has always operated around a familiar workflow. Journalists researched stories. Writers produced articles. Editors refined them. Designers created visuals. Every stage depended heavily on manual effort.
Artificial intelligence modifies that workflow by changing where the effort is spent.
In an AI-powered media company:
→ Research can now begin with AI summarizing hundreds of pages of information.
→ Writers can generate first drafts in minutes instead of hours.
→ Designers can produce multiple concepts from a single prompt.
→ Video editors can automate repetitive tasks that once consumed entire afternoons.
Across the workflow, AI handles much of the execution while humans continue to guide, review, and refine the output.
This is why I don't think the future belongs to fully automated media companies. It belongs to organizations that combine AI's speed with human judgment.
An AI-powered media company isn't defined by how much work AI performs, but by how intelligently people build, supervise, and improve the systems around it.
