We Wear the Armor of Indifference

We wear the armor of indifference and spread among passersby the idea that their evaluations don't matter to us. We think we have escaped the desire for acceptance, until someone comes along with a negative comment.

Only then do the masks fall, and the earthquake begins. A single, casually uttered word is enough to shatter the wall of certainty and ignite a war of doubt within us.

How easy it is to make a claim, and how quickly words can break us! Words are not merely fleeting sounds; they are choices that we use to either give life to others or extinguish it.
