Network Sweep refers to finding the active devices in a huge network. The hacker or security analyst uses this procedure before attacking the system. There are lots of available tools for doing this. However, two most common tools are nmap, as well as hping3. Hping3 is a packet crafting tool, moreover it has powerful command line. The main functionality of this tool is evaluate the efficiency of the network, doing the advance port scanning, as well as testing the firewalls. Nmap is an equipment for network discovery, and security auditing. It does the OS detection, finding the open port, as well as getting the active host. Nmap does it work like overall system, however hping3 is involved with specific customization.
