First, let's understand what the actual meaning of internships and training in the industries is. Then we gonna deep dive into the main and actual topic….

In simple words, the internships refer to the temporary work experiences of the company with or without stipend to the intern or students. With the help of internships, the students will get the actual industry knowledge and experiences apart from the academic curriculum. The programme can be onsite, remote or hybrid depending on the students' choices and company work, but mainly in the manufacturing, construction and automobile areas, the onsite interns are preferred due to the in-hand exposure and experiences. Similarly in the IT world, the internship programmes are mainly online or hybrid, meaning 'work from home' or 'institutions' are preferred.

Now, due to the privatisation and AICTE rules, the internships are becoming mandatory for the students due to the skills and industries programmes, due to which the competitions to get an internship are becoming very difficult, especially for the IT students. The GOVT and AICTE are also introducing some programmes and camps to improve the market conditions for the students.

By seeing this many small companies in the name of Start-Up and AICTE providing the fake and impractical internships to the students. If we carefully considered, then these are not internships or industry programmes; they are simply selling their courses at very low prices so that the majority of the populations can purchase, which is beneficial to the providers only. All these courses are outdated and impractical to consider; they are readily available on the internet and can be simply copy-pasted for the actual submissions to get the certificate. We can say that in the name of internships and industry programmes, they simply do the marketing of their brand on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and universities by the certificate they give to the students.

Now, if we see the situation, then getting exposure to the real industries and work is getting very difficult due to the increase in competitions and the privatisation of many colleges. But still the government has launched many schemes, learning schedules and programmes to help the students and young professionals. Many governments are also available who provide the training labs and in-centre workshops at affordable prices.

Lastly, I would suggest don't fall for these internship scams and try to get real, genuine industry exposure.
