Hi everyone,

I know it has been more than one year since I published my last Medium article. Many of you appreciated my work, engaged with my posts, subscribed to my email, and also followed me. Thank you very much for the support.

Many of you know that I had learned many things during my previous journey and also secured several bounties, recognitions, Hall of Fame mentions, and goodies. However, starting again from scratch will be much better and more improved.

I paused my cybersecurity and bug bounty journey because of personal reasons, and over time I almost forgot many things — even the basics. I don't know what's currently happening in the hacking world, AI developments, Hack The Box (HTB), TryHackMe, and many other platforms. But as a legend once said:

"We all come back to what we truly love."

And here I am again, ready to complete my unfinished chapter — The Bug Bounty Hunter.

Coming to the Point

From today, I have started learning again as if I have zero knowledge, and I will be documenting everything here on Medium.

I have given myself 6 months to secure my first bounty. (Yup! Here we go again.)

I will publish daily articles covering:

  • How I am learning
  • My approach
  • The time I invest
  • Where I learn from
  • The platforms I use or will be using
  • How I use AI in cybersecurity
  • Building my own CTFtime team (I previously had one)
  • Discord servers and communities
  • The process from reconnaissance to exploitation
  • And everything else that becomes part of this journey

Why Read My Articles?

It's true that I am not fully aware of what is currently happening in the hacking world. However, I am certain that there are many people who:

  • Watch many YouTube tutorials
  • Have theoretical knowledge
  • But struggle when testing real web applications

This may also help:

  • College students who want to break into bug bounty
  • Graduates and freshers entering cybersecurity
  • People who got their first bounty (which is great!) but still struggle afterward
  • People who understand how web applications work but are inconsistent in practice

And many others who face similar challenges.

I am pretty sure these articles will help all of you.

According to several sources, cybersecurity is among the top 5 careers expected to grow significantly and is difficult for AI to replace.

A Small Note

From the next article onward, there will be a paywall, and I will also be submitting my articles to publications. The reason is simple — I currently do not have many options to generate income for my daily living.

I hope you will continue to support me.

Thank you, and see you in the next article on PortSwigger.
