Currently, I'm a.. IT Postgraduate Student(?) Data Analyst(?) Data Scientist(?)

In past, I was a straighten-ambitious-stubborn girl until the last second year in high school. I had the only dream in along phases of life, that was .."I want to be an Architect". I had that dream because I'd like drawing, painting, and math. I thought that was the best and suit dream for me. Unfortunately, my parents said "Big No" if I became an Architect, even-though it was because of some good reasons for me.

In the silent of hollow, I had a reflection to myself. I asked to me, why and how. I tried to keep calm. I watched some videos on youtube about the related case, I read some articles, and I surfed some references. Then I had gotten "My Turning Point".

I summarized into 2 important things that has to step on the mind.

  1. Change the perspective of career.

You have to see the skill demand in around the world that needed in 10–30 years later, because the professional world would pick the one that they need, not you like.

I chose major Information System because I saw how rapid the technology growth and covered all existing business model in any sectors. So, I had to follow those trends to become a "prime" professional resource.

2. Focus on your own path.

Don't blame yourself. Don't compare with the others. You had stepped up on your best stairs.

And at the end, I accepted in the university which the name was never pass-through in my mind. But from there, I studied faster and explicitly than my friends (in better univ I think). I graduated with Magna Cum Laude, I found some gorgeous friends, and the importance is I could explore more skills and experiences from the outside campus so I had more professional portfolio before I worked.

As simple as that. Just start it.

There's no wrong with the parents's consideration, they had their own anxiety for your future because any experiences that happened to them in the past (maybe). That was kind of love from them, please don't make it as a big rock, an obstacle.

Life is an adventure, just make your own way more fun and challenging in every step of that.

Thank you..
