Learning at some point in the Nigerian Web3 Ecosystem felt like I was training to hunt a hackathon or bounty. So yeah, there is no clear path from learning to contribution, from contribution to opportunity, and from opportunity to long-term growth. People start running in circles, but it's because the system gives them excitement without enough direction.
Somewhere along the way, the Web3 ecosystem stopped feeling like a pathway for builders and started feeling like a crowded arena for bounties
My argument is simple: Nigeria does not lack Web3 talent. What we need are better systems for retention. This paper is my attempt to name that problem clearly, from both research and lived experience.
