Think Before You Trust

I have a habit of checking the terms & conditions before doing almost anything. It does not matter how long they're or how tiny the text looks.

If I'm about to sign up for something, download an app, use a website or agree to anything, I want to know what I'm actually agreeing to.

My brain simply refuses to press that little "I agree" button without investigating first.

The same thing goes for people and situations. I do not trust everything instantly and I'd rather take my time than believe something too quickly. Things can look completely genuine on the surface but I still prefer doing a little checking before trusting them or giving away any personal information.

For me, personal safety starts with paying attention to small things. Checking before clicking, thinking before sharing information, keeping important details private & taking a second to question something that feels strange can save a lot of trouble later.

I'd rather spend five extra minutes checking something than spend an hour thinking, "Why did I do that?"

The same awareness matters outside the internet too.

Knowing where I'm, noticing what is happening around me and being comfortable walking away from a situation that feels wrong are all part of taking care of myself.

I like being careful. It does not mean living in fear or expecting something bad to happen. It means knowing that my safety is my responsibility too.

I might take a little longer to trust, check things twice and question things that look too good to be true.

I'd rather be a little careful now than wish I had been later.
