So guys I was thinking lately about some time that it would have been better if I would have known some things and if I would have got some ideas to make money in my first year of my college which i am getting now in my fourth year.
So basically the things I am doing now to make money I wish I would have tried them in my first year of the college to make the money so atleast I would have managed my basic expenses of necessary things, doing parties, having fun and eating in restaurants. Atleast this things I would have managed to do on my own when I was in my first year and right now I would have been also making some great money on my own so that I would have managed to also pay my fees as well.
But it's ok it is better late than never you just have to keep working hard and just maintain the consistency. With discipline and dedication still you achieve great heights. Yeah it will take time because of course you have started late so you will see people around yourself doing much better than you because they started early than you, inspire from them do not be jealous of them at all because that won't do you any good at all trust it will be just bad for you only in every aspect be it mentally, financially and physically because you would just every time overthink and waste your time and energy in just saying bad things to them because it is affecting you only not then, they do not just give any shit to you whether you think good or bad about them.
Instead utilise your important time you have because it won't come back and starting late will give much hurdles to you so instead thinking about others just think about yourself and start working.
So enough of the talk now I would give the important points about which the article is :- 'Things to do make money in your college first year'.
Writing articles on Medium :-
So the medium.com is a huge platform to share your thoughts and experiences and any legal content in the form of an article and then being consistent about 3–4 months and via submitting your article in publication you can get views and after some time you can apply for the partner program as well and once you are eligible, you will be able to monitize your article. But note that the money you will earn can vary on the basis of the reach and how much people spent time on your article and how much they like it. So first do research about the trending topics and try to write in that and if you have something unique you can write about then it is well and good. For more you can explore in the medium official guidelines.
Bug Bounty Programs :-
As I write the articles on the cyber security so the people who come from the cyber security background they would know this things. In simple words if I would say that the websites like youtube, google, chatgpt, amazon and etc. pay you for finding any serious bugs in their website but only if you do that legally because of you hack them without reading their guidelines than you could end up in jail as well. But note that this can be a depressive task as well because in today's world even by using AI you still cannot find the bugs because many times it would have happen that the bugs you have found would have been discovered by other people as well. So first properly understand about this. You can refer to major platforms like hackerone and bugcrowd and integrity to get started and how to dive in to this.
Freelancing work :-
You know that in first year there is lot of the leisure time you get and you can utilise it properly to make money by doing some work for the clients like managing the excels, making ppts, doing entries of data and many other things. Do not consider it as a small work to do just think that ok you are getting paid for this based on your current skills set. With time you would learn more and with that you will get paid much better. The top websites to prefer you find it on the google by searching and build your portfolio and then start to get the work based on your skills you will get the clients and then get paid there. This is a good option to work on.
Taking Classes on Online Tutoring
In this work first you will have to educate yourself using the efficient use of the AI and then after that you will have to understand it and then you will have to organize your setup and then teach that topic on whatever mmode and on whatever platform you prefer. Mostly people do it on the Youtube or any other online tutor platforms but here is the thing that the you cannot make the sudden money here because getting paid depends on your ability and how the people lik your content so according to that yoy will be able to get paid accordingly. So that is the thing, based on your knowledge and understanding about the topic teach it to the people and the more the people enjoy it the more they support you and you can earn some money.
Content Creation
Well this topic and work can have different opinions and also many of you may find it time wasting and it can be actually as well because in many college there could be many work and assignments has to be parallely handled and also along with that you would also enjoy your life as well. So you may / may not get the time for that but still if you have lots of time and your humour is good and you are the person who can talk to anybody and like you have some special skills which you knwo about then you should definitely try this, you can do something good and also this would make you happy as well and then after some time you would have the collabs with the brands and this would earn you much money enough. There are many social media platforms you know so you can atleast try some stuff and see the response.
Internships
Now this one is for the skillful people only because there are less companies that would give you the intrnships in the first year until and unless you are skillful enough to provide something better to the company. There are students in every class who are into technology aor digital marketing or into making money through other legal stuffs so you can do it and apply you have enough skills like there exists in the market and the ones the people usually learn in their third year of the college, then you must definitely go for it. There many platform available online where you can land an internhip remotely or on site.
Pick ONE. Not six.
Here is the mistake I want to save you from — and it's the mistake I made.
I didn't lose my first three years because I didn't know these options existed. I lost them because I knew about all of them and started none of them. I'd read about freelancing on Monday, watch a bug bounty video on Tuesday, think about starting a YouTube channel on Wednesday, and by Sunday I had done nothing except feel busy.
Reading about six ways to make money feels like progress. It isn't. It's just a more comfortable way of not starting.
So do this instead. Go back up and pick the one that made something inside you go "okay, I could actually do that." Not the one that pays the most. Not the one your friend is doing. The one you'd still open on a bad day.
Then give it 90 days before you allow yourself to judge it.
Ninety days is the number because that's roughly where everything starts paying: it's about how long consistent writing takes before Medium's algorithm trusts you, about how long it takes to get your first few freelance reviews, about how long recon takes before bug hunting stops feeling random. Almost everyone who says "I tried it, it doesn't work" quit somewhere around week three — right before the part where it works.
