loneliness can be so mundane and so quiet, and it can be hard to admit to yourself. i never realized how important human connection was to be able to live. i look around me and i see people and i wonder if they have ever been vulnerable, to themselves or to others. everything is so technological and so advanced and so robotic that maybe we are forgetting what it's like to be human. to be able to feel one another and just know.
i think human connection is so beautiful. it is so fragile and so sensitive but so, so important for our survival. we all just want to be heard, to be understood. we all just want someone to feel what we feel and i think that is so beautiful. we crave each other's presence. we crave each other's company. yet we push ourselves away from one another. we create more divides, more factions, but all we really want is warmth and connection.
i don't know. we're all just human, we're all just flawed, and i think what we need is just the comfort of knowing that everyone else knows this truth too, and we can all sit together and appreciate the gift of our own humanity.
