Two hundred repetitions of the same command finally cost me a weekend. The interface was the small benefit. Learning the tool properly was the real one.
Hello, I am Nitin.
I built a graphical interface for a command-line security tool because I had typed the same flags a few hundred times and had started making mistakes.
That is the whole origin story. No vision, no market research. Irritation.
It turned out to be one of the most useful things I have ever done for my own skill, and not for the reason I expected.
The irritation
I do a lot of injection testing, and the tools for it are command-line driven with a large number of options. Target specification, request method, headers, cookies, authentication, proxy configuration, delay and timing, technique selection, output preferences.
When you are working a single target for hours, you run that command repeatedly with small variations. Change a header. Add a delay because you are being rate limited. Switch a technique. Point it through a proxy so you can watch what it sends.
