#1 Am Stepping Into Cybersecurity: Curiosity, Confusion, and the Vast Unknown

When I first stepped into cybersecurity, I didn't fully understand what I was getting into. I just knew one thing — I was curious. Curious about how systems work, how they break, and more importantly, how people think behind all of it.

In the beginning, everything felt overwhelming. So many domains, so many tools, so many paths — networking, web security, cryptography, reverse engineering, and more. It didn't feel like a single field; it felt like an entire universe. And honestly, that was both exciting and intimidating.

What pulled me deeper wasn't just the technical side, but the realization that cybersecurity is not only about machines — it's about humans. Every vulnerability, every attack, every defense has a human element behind it. Why do people click malicious links? Why do attackers think the way they do? Why do small mistakes lead to major breaches? These questions made me see cybersecurity from a different perspective.

I'm still at the beginning of my journey. I don't know everything, and I'm not trying to present myself as an expert. I'm someone who is learning, experimenting, making mistakes, and slowly understanding how vast this field really is. Some days I feel confident. Other days, I feel like I know nothing,but am not going to stop at any point for sure — and I've come to accept that as part of the process.

This space is my way of documenting that journey. Not just the technical concepts I learn, but also the thoughts, confusion, and small realizations along the way. Because I believe learning becomes more meaningful when it is shared.

Cybersecurity is vast. There is no point where you can say, "I know it all." And maybe that's the beauty of it. There is always something new to explore, something new to question, and something new to understand.
