Why Do I Keep Seeing Repeating Numbers All the Time?

911 is not just an emergency number

The first time it happened several years ago, I shrugged it off as a coincidence. But then a few days later, I noticed the same number sequence and then again the very next day.

It pops up at random places but most frequently while driving, on my TV, and cell phone even when I'm not checking for the time.

At first, I thought it might be some residual trauma from 9/11 ( I happened to be living in Manhattan at that time) but later, I kept wondering why, of all the possible combinations of numbers possible, 911 specifically?

Sometimes it used to make me wonder if I was just imagining things when I first started seeing this number so I never told anyone fearing they'd think I was cuckoo in the head. At other times it seemed like an omen or something considering it is an emergency number.

However, as time passed it now surprisingly has a comforting feel whenever I happen to see it — a warm, familiar face in a sea of strangers kind of vibe.

Angel numbers

I hadn't given these numbers much thought until I came across Barbara Carter's article which mentions repeating numbers. I was not only intrigued by the fact that others were experiencing the same but also eager to know the meaning behind them.

In numerology, for example, it is said that each single-digit number has specific vibration energy and different meanings.

That may be why people make a wish when they see one (a powerful number for manifestation) repeated in a sequence as this excerpt explains: "When you see 111, think of the universe as taking a screenshot of your frame of mind. Whatever is going on — all your thoughts, visualizations, goals, and dreams — they are going to be replicated."

Coming back to Barbara's article, I found myself drawn to her reference to angel numbers. What did angels have to do with numbers, I wondered?

So, I looked it up and discovered that I have been living under a rock in the sense that there is indeed a world different world out there that I literally had no clue about till now.

A new stage of life

Some years ago, I experienced a life-changing event. It crept up on me unawares and nothing was ever the same again.

It was during my time in the valley that my faith, lying dormant and untended, all the past years started stirring. I clung to it for dear life and if anyone were to ask me how I survived the next 6 years without falling apart or just throwing in the towel, I would say it is solely because of my faith.

Would it come as a surprise that a person of the cloth once looked at me and foretold I would be writing about my faith in a few years?

I laughed out loud.

How else was I supposed to respond? I am a non-native English speaker, a numbers gal, who didn't have a creative bone in her body. I am not exaggerating when I say I come from a culture where women of my generation are supposed to be wonderful cooks and probably tend a nice little garden as far as creative pursuits go.

Writing? Now, that was a joke or so I thought.

Then an article of mine was accepted by a online faith magazine seemingly out of the blue because I have no other way to explain it. It was written straight from the heart, accepted, and published by a known faith-based website.

Suffice to say, I have not only managed to turn around my life but also become a completely different person (mentally stronger, healthier, and more confident) from whom I was some years ago. No, longer do I try to be a wallflower in a room. I have shed a lot of dead weight and unwrapped the layers of linen (lies) that my culture, ex, and former beliefs had me bound to finally reveal the person I was meant to be.

I discovered my purpose. And life has never been the same again.

Being in alignment with the universe

It is believed that in some cultures when you see repeating numbers, it is a sign that angels or your spirit guides are trying to communicate with you about something.

In my case, the number 911 could simply mean I am on the right track as this excerpt explains: "This number also signifies new beginnings, leadership, and independence. You are on the road to finding your true purpose in life and the right people to surround yourself with. Keep a positive mindset and an open mind when this new door opens for you."

The above description aligns with the events in my life since these repeating numbers started coming to my attention.

I would say the 911 angel number is a portent that signals change (the good kind) for me because it marks a time when I not only experienced a spiritual awakening but also learned to let go of whatever was holding me back.
