Time to end the week with a "listicle". If you're stuck for a niche, here are 10 niches that still work. Although I strongly recommend writing about what you're curious to learn about, and creating your own niche around it. But that's an article for another day!
Picking a niche is where most writers get stuck.
Some chase money and end up bored.
Others chase passion and end up broke.
But there's a better path curiosity meets cash.
You don't need to be an expert. You don't need a 10-year plan.
Just pick something you want to explore… and that other people have already spent money on.
Here are 10 writing niches that work in 2025 even if you're going to start from scratch.
Simplifying Personal Finance
Everyone wants to make more, save more, or get out of debt.
And unlike most niches, people expect to spend money to solve these problems.
• Budgeting
• Investing apps
• Debt-free stories
Even if you're not a financial guru, you can write about what you're doing , what's working and what's not, and get paid via affiliate links, tools, and ebooks.
Real Life Health & Wellness
This isn't about becoming a doctor on the internet. (NEVER write about Medical topics unless you are qualified!)
It's about walking more, sleeping better, and eating without guilt.
People want simple, honest health advice they can actually follow.
Sub-niche it down: walking for mental clarity, gut health basics, minimalist fitness, dealing with a dad bod etc.
(And yes, you can sell low-ticket products and guides all day here.)
Productivity That Doesn't Feel Like a Punishment
Still a monster niche.
But the winners are talking about real productivity not morning routines copied from billionaires.
Think:
• Productivity for new parents
• Digital minimalism
• Focus with ADHD
It's relatable. Monetisable. And tools and apps open up easy affiliate angles.
AI & Tech for Non-Techies
AI isn't going anywhere.
But most people don't want to become robots, they want shortcuts that feel human.
Simplify tech and AI so non-techies can get started and learn to appreciate the possibilities.

"Mindset" is a bit tired. But when you sharpen it, it works.
Instead of vague life advice, go specific:
• Confidence for overthinkers
• Stoicism for side-hustlers
• Mental clarity for creatives
The key is to pick an angle that makes people say, "That's me."
Don't Wait for the Perfect Niche
You don't find your niche. You build it.
Start with what you're curious about.
Look for what people already spend money on.
