Red Ochre
Used in the Image of a bison from the cave of Altamira in Spain. It was painted with red ochre, around 16,500 and 15,000 BC.

Carmine
The extract of carmine was used from the Middle Ages until the 19th century to make crimson dye. Now it is used as a coloring for yogurt and other food products.

Red Lead (Minium)
Minium, pigment.
Minium, also known as red lead, is a bright orange red pigment that was widely used in the Middle Ages for the decoration of manuscripts and for painting.
The Códice del Escorial 1272–1284, from Spain.
Medieval manuscripts often used red-orange minium pigment in the letters of the text and for small illustrations, called miniatures.

My Work.
Usually I create painting with primary colors and the result is a very bright ones.
In my work I use more the colors red, orange and yellow. They are colors that is full of joy, youth, and optimism.
Colors is perceived as bright due to their hue.
And warm colors such as yellow, orange and red are perceived as brighter than cold colors such as blue and green.
