I have been writing Medium for a year now. I have been fairly successfully. After my first month, I only earned 1 cent. Things quickly picked up after that first month. In this article, I hope to give current and future writers hope. I will provide my monthly totals as well as links to top earn stories — stories earning more than $100.

I have 6 stories chosen for further distribution over the last year. I hope to increase in that year two. I have earned $4709.11 over the past year. In addition to my direct earnings, I have acquired two large customers based on my articles earning over $10,000 each for those two customers. I was also asked to write an article and was paid $50 to write the article to promote a product. Altogether I have published 201 stories in the last year. Also, two students have asked me to mentor them based on my stories — I have yet to do that — been busy — but it is in my plans to do so!!

I mention this story because I will almost certainly make $100 since I wrote it within the last month.
