When Kaepernick (and then others) started kneeling before the national anthem, I found myself losing interest in watching football. Not because I'm White. Not because I'm racist. It was just eyerollingly disappointing because:

1) For the most part, NFL coaches, who generally portray themselves as take charge alpha male types, didn't sit these guys down and explain (or have someone who could) the inaccuracies of the whole BLM hypocrisy. I understand the player's intent, but don't think they are seeing the big picture. I thought the coaches were being too passive and politically correct. Typical White liberal perspective - don't touch racism, you might look bad.

2) These players make millions to do a job. The people watching them (fans) are paying to watch a football game - not a political protest. They are using their employer's venue to increase attention. It's a free country, and I believe in the right to protest, but why not do it on their own time?

3) It's so easy to put "Stop Racism" on a helmet or on the field but what is the point. Don't tell me it draws attention to the problem - we all know racism exists. Just seems so tokenistic. Those of us who are not racist don't need to be lectured to and those who are couldn't care less.
