A very common thing to hear, right? You'll hear it in the classroom, you will hear it in the hallway, you will hear it at work, and you will hear it in the society you live in.

It's one of the daily answers I hear whenever I question someone. And, in those times, I wanted to ask more.

Whenever we question, some people look at us as if we are enemies. Just because I'm questioning people doesn't mean I'm against it. I wanted to know the truth.

But they will look as if I'm against something or look at me as some annoying kid, and my thought would be, "Geez. These people."

None

Speaking of that, let me tell you a real story. A friend of mine is an ambitious person. More like the rare soul who dares to bring the change. When I was with her in school, she did put everything into changing her life, but her family was against it, and here are the words she shared with me,

'You know, I thought I was always right, and I built my own world. Whenever I said to my family, "I'm doing this and that."

They would simply respond, "Okay, do it. We are here for you, dear."

But, I don't know, at the time, they thought of me a s child who easily loses interest.

And, when the time came, I told them that I'm going to travel, and this was my dream.

The answer I got is, "You can explore the world with your husband."

I was taken a back, and when I questioned them, "Why should I get married if I can live perfectly fine with myself?" They all saw me as an ignorant one, but no one saw my true vision.

I was wrong to believe that just because I shared my vision with them, it didn't mean they were seeing the same thing I did.

Of course, in the end, she got into a huge argument and was given a year to prove herself. And, she is working perfectly on her dream now.

Look, if she hadn't asked the question to her parents, then she would be living a life without a soul. I don't know what it means to you, but most of the people were forced to stop from their dream.

And, I felt, you should as the question, even if it means hurting. Trust me, if they have every right to shut your mouth, then you have every right to question them.

"If there is something to gain and nothing to lose by asking — by all means ask!" — W. Clement Stone.

So, next time when someone whispers, "Don't ask." Just smile and ask anyway. Because, the future belongs to the ones who dare.

In the world that runs behind the crowds,

Stop and ask,

Because life dares the one who comes out,

And, be that one.
