When we founded Vulnetic Inc, my CTO and I had seen a year of tremendous progress in AI adoption through the software industry. We wanted to bring these capabilities to the offensive security space, which seemed lacking in AI tooling. To do this we built PTJunior, an AI agent that conducts enumeration, exploitation and report generation with little to no human intervention.
The use case is pretty straight forward. You point PTJunior at any network identifiable address from a web URL to an IP subnet and it will conduct the nitty gritty command generation, execution and chain of thought reasoning required to progress and develop a pentest. We have seen our beta testers use the software against web, IoT devices, active directory, and even GitHub repositories. PTJunior is an all-purpose security agent that can also conduct static code analysis and credentialed assessments.
The Human in the Loop
LLM's do their best work when paired with a human expert. As an assessment progresses, PTJunior's tooling allows the security engineer to interject changes to the flow of the assessment. Just as software engineers generate code using Cursor and Claude Code, we believe pentesters and security professionals will allow PTJunior to automate the bulk of their work, then guide it through the final 10% of the assessment.

The Future
The Vulnetic team believes this is the dawn of a new era in offensive cyber. A new generation of tools for supercharging the productivity of security engineers are now available. We think software has benefited tremendously with the integration of AI and see no reason security professionals shouldn't have access to systems as capable.
