And the best way to do that is to post your content everywhere you can. Reddit threads, Facebook Pages, Discord Servers, Forums… you name it. The more places you post, the more visibility you'll get, and the more users you'll attract.

Or at least, that's the theory.

In reality, posting on all of these different platforms can be a real pain. You have to keep track of all of your posts, make sure you're responding to comments, and refresh your tabs constantly to see if anyone's said anything new.

That's exactly where I found myself last Monday, the day we launched Kaptr.me.

This pain provided a great opportunity to put our own product to the test and see how useful it would be to help its founder track their launch.

To provide more context, with Kaptr.me, you can take a snapshot of any app or website that stays automatically updated. We built it as the easiest way to create dashboards without any technical integrations.

Here is the list of key things I wanted to track in my dashboard:

  • Reddit, X, Facebook, Medium notifications
  • The list of my latest Reddit posts (to see the evolution of my upvotes)
  • Two forum posts I made on Monday (to see if there were any new comments)
  • My user database (hosted on Firebase)
  • My Stripe account payment list (to see if anyone made a payment on day 1)

And it looked like this : You can steal my launch dashboard from this link

The cool thing was that I could easily update my dashboard with one click and see if anything happened during my product launch, based on data from all of these sources.

This method has been truly helpful to track my launch…

So, maybe it can help yours too ! 😊

Thanks for reading me folks !
