Why I'd Choose the Gown Before the Guy

Stop right there — you have to know this!

I am so, so happy to share something with you all. Girls will totally relate to me on this — I'm always on my toes when I talk about it!

It's about a show called

Say Yes to the Dress.

I had the chance to fly to Prague last weekend to take a pre-wedding photoshoot for a good friend of mine. While she was doing her hair in front of the mirror, I took this photo from behind, simply because of how concentrated she looked and everything looked so peaceful and natural.

YEAHHHH!!!

It's this beautiful, emotional, and sometimes dramatic show where brides come to a bridal showroom to choose their dream wedding dress — and, of course, say yes to the dress.

Honestly, I'd say yes to the dress before even saying yes to a proposal!

I grew up watching that show, and I'm sure many girls did too. As a Christian, I've always dreamed of wearing a white dress for my wedding. The whole idea plays out so beautifully in my mind — it's magical, almost like a fairytale.

I dream — and maybe even live in the delusion — of "The Dress." The hairstyle, the makeup, accessories, flowers, heels, the walk... the list goes on.

Watching this show just adds more sparkle to my magical world.

Oh my God — the entire process of a bride choosing her dress is just wholesome. The families and friends come along, giving opinions (sometimes way too many!). Some even pressure the bride, which can be overwhelming.

That's when the managers step in like superheroes — they always stand up for the bride, even against her own family or friends.

That's my absolute favorite part.

I love how they always say, "We are Team Bride."

That kind of support and understanding — especially on such a precious day — is something every bride deserves. And the show delivers that beautifully.

And the ending of each bride's journey?

That moment when she finds the one — the right dress — everyone tears up, and you just feel this deep satisfaction. It's like we're all there, celebrating with her.

Ahhh. I highly recommend watching and experiencing it.
