POETRY COLLECTION
Tall trees swathed in morning mist Dawn drifts over the hills softly Rosellas congregating and conversing In a time-honoured way. Ah, I love the country life.
No human sound, no traffic, no trucks Cocooned in serenity; a peace unknown to city-dwellers The chill morning air envelops me I welcome the cold like a long-lost friend. Ah, I love the country life.
The farm awakes; the geese come honking The dogs start barking The silence is shattered Another day begins. Ah, I love the country life.
I wrote this poem whilst house-sitting in the country.
