New Medium Publication #PhilosophyInPajamas

Because life is too short for stiff trousers and creative limits.

Today, 19th August, is my birthday.

And like any emotionally stable person celebrating their existence, I have decided to launch a publication instead of throwing a party where my relatives ask why I am still single.

It is called Philosophy in Pajamas.

Because if we are going to talk about life, love, humour, and everything in between, we might as well do it in our most honest clothing, the ones with the loose elastic and the mystery stain we are pretending is coffee.

This birthday is extra special because I am also 100 articles old. Yes, I am counting articles as age milestones now.

Some people measure their worth in job titles, square footage or followers. I measure mine in words flung onto the internet like poetic frisbees. One hundred pieces of me are already out; laughing, crying, oversharing, occasionally making people snart chai or coffee through their noses (and no, I don't apologise).

Everyone keeps saying, "Find your niche." Well, we say, "You are our niche."

You, with your weird anecdotes, your soft heartbreaks, your hot takes on whether Gulab Jamun is fine with Vanilla Icecream or not. With your theory that life is basically a sitcom with bad lighting. Life lessons. Writing. You, with your romantic optimism, your sarcasm, your love for both sunsets and stupid memes.

Bring it all.

Humour. Love. Life. And everything your brain decides to serve you anytime, and it refuses to let you sleep.

Here is how to join the Philosophy in Pajamas Party —

  • Follow Me (It is my birthday, and otherwise too, indulge me.)
  • Follow the Publication Philosophy in Pajamas
  • Give this article 50 claps. (Yes, all 50. Pretend it is an exercise for your thumb.)
  • Comment 'Join" with your username so I know you are ready to philosophise in elastic waistbands.

Guidelines for Posting —

  • Use the tag "Philosophy in Pajamas"
  • Submit Drafts only
  • Ah, never mind, do whatever you want, except use the correct tag. We will embrace it all.

Think of Philosophy in Pajamas as the living room where all the interesting people hang out, where humour and heartbreak can share the same paragraph without feeling awkward, where profound truths are allowed to wear fluffy slippers.

I am not here to build some cold, niche-specific, SEO-optimised machine that only accepts one type of voice. I am here to create a messy, warm, funny, insightful human corner of the internet where we write the things we would say to a friend at midnight, where we turn our stupidest mistakes into hilarious wisdom, and where we love the fact that life makes no sense but still feels worth it.

So, here is my birthday wish:

I want you to join.

Not because I need more followers or claps or features, but because I want to see your version of the world in its glorious, ridiculous, heart-hitting detail.

Wear your Pajamas, bring your mind, and let us make something worth waking up for.

Firstly, my Medium Journey could not have been better without Sriram Yaladandi, Rishita Sharma, and their publications — Pen With Paper & Quirky Rants. I want to thank them with both my hands folded, because they published my first article in any publication and published all my growth every time humbly. They have been there with me right from the start.

Then come all my dear friends/colleagues of Medium/fellow writers and readers/loyalists /Family, whatever name you wish to call them. I am nothing without them. Life's too complicated for tight waistbands and creative restrictions. Philosophy in Pajamas is where humour, love, life, food, travel and every ridiculous, beautiful, baffling thought you've ever had can live together in comfort.

No stiff rules. No "find your niche" nonsense. Here, you are the niche, in all your contradictory, pyjama-wearing glory.

Bring us your late-night brain dumps, your love letters, your sarcastic observations, your "I can't believe this happened" stories. If it's human, it belongs here.

Follow. Post. Clap. Lounge. Repeat.
