Drabble Story Arc #2: Seek and Avenge

You re-awaken on the riverbank, forcefully vomiting foamy water the instant you regain consciousness. Between heaves, you spot Dara stepping back, wiping her mouth.

"See!" she smiles, "told you it would work."

You rest on the ground, recuperating as Scruff saunters over, snuggling close to give you some comforting licks and a furry companion to pet.

"The Breath of Life isn't easy to do," Bruno states, sitting on a nearby rock. "but Dara performed it masterfully."

"So," Dara says "Do you feel any less… cursed?"

You're exhausted and weakened, but deep in your bones, you know the curse is broken.
