I am a grandmother, an ordinary person living in this rapidly changing era. I have a lovely granddaughter named Stella. Every time I look at her innocent smile, my heart is filled with love, but also with deep worry.

When I was young, our generation could achieve the life we wanted through hard work, whether it was through physical labor, intellectual effort, or through learning and striving. Back then, young people had the opportunity to take out loans to buy houses, to change their destiny with their own hands, and even to travel the world.

But now I see a possibility that makes me uneasy. Future generations of children may no longer have as many opportunities to achieve their dreams through hard work. They might only be able to rely on Universal Basic Income (UBI) provided by the government to maintain a basic standard of living, living a life of "neither starving nor thriving," losing the opportunity to achieve their life's value through struggle.

Isn't this unfair to the next generation? They may no longer be able to change their destiny with their own hands, to own their own homes, or to pursue a wider world, as we did. This is not only a concern for my granddaughter Stella, but also a concern for the future of all children.

Through this letter, I hope to call upon our policymakers, all sectors of society, and everyone who cares about the future, to consider: while technology is developing rapidly, how can we ensure that our children still have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and realize their potential? How can we create a future for them that is both secure and offers opportunities for striving?

Please remember that every choice we make today will affect the lives of children like Stella. As a grandmother, I simply want to voice this plea from a family perspective, for my granddaughter and for all children.
