Easy they come, Easy they go
— Taylor Swift
I welcome your presence, and I accept your absence.
Not all exits are heard.
Sometimes, they fade in ways you don't notice right away. less words, less time side by side, until one day, you realize things aren't the same anymore, and that's fine because the real question is: are you ready for it? Or are you really grown up enough to accept the idea of goodbye?
And it makes you wonder — did we fall apart?
Life doesn't always shatter in the way we fear. Not all distance means losing someone. Not every pause in between means it's over. Not every silence means the end.
Sometimes people step aside, not because they are leaving, but because after hurt, they no longer know how to be the same. And that makes it harder to express what they truly feel.
So instead of holding tighter, some people loosen their grip.
Not to let go, but to avoid hurting what's already fragile.
Someone who used to talk a lot becomes quiet. Someone who was always around suddenly needs space. It feels confusing, even painful, am I right? You might think, why are they pulling away when we should be closer?
But the truth is, not everyone knows how to face pain together. Some people face it alone first.
It doesn't mean you don't matter.
It means they're trying to carry something they don't fully understand yet.
Life goes on, whether we're ready or not. Along the way, people walk beside us — some come into our lives and go like bubbles in the air, vanishing before you can hold them. some for years, some for a short while, some only during the moments we needed them most.
And this is the reality: not all of them stay.
And that's the hardest part. Maybe forever was never what it was meant to be i guess?
You don't always see their worth until they're no longer there.
You don't always need noise for a connection to matter.
You don't always need words for a goodbye to be real.
What matters is this:
As long as someone is part of your life, treat them with care. Don't wait for perfect timing, but rather be considerate while there is still time, and be there while they remain.
Because life doesn't pause.
People change.
People change.
Some will stay. Some will leave. Some will return when you least expect it.
But every person who crosses your path leaves something behind — even when it's barely seen, even when it's barely heard.
And maybe that's enough.
You hold on, you care, you give your all, yet some people are only passing through.
Some people arrive to change your story, then leave you stronger than before.
Because in the end, it's not about how long people stay.
It's about how they touched your life and molded you while they were there, and how you choose to remember them when they're gone.
And that's life to begin with. It's one of the concepts: people come and go.
