I love a good challenge, especially when it comes to writing. So, when I came across Zane Dickens' Villians to Vanquish challenge, I just knew I had to take part.

You can find out more about the challenge here:

My villain came to me in the early hours of the morning, presenting himself to me in the same way he does to so many others under the cover of darkness. I give you:

The Most Villainous Villain

I attest that I am the most villainous villain of all time. I can strike multiple targets at once and be anywhere at any time. My favourite time, though, is 3 am when the darkness is at its most profound and your mind is most susceptible.

It is then that I fill your mind with the darkest thoughts. I make you question the point of existence or simply convince you that you have left the stove burning. The result is the same. You are restless, tired, and confused. Your negativity grows, and I feed and grow stronger.

I have existed since time began.

You were always the easiest species to control. But the more you become concerned with how others see you, the easier you are to prey upon.

I will exist long after your pitiful humans have devolved from your delusions of grandeur.

I am Doubt.
