I've realized the word "newsletter" is now synonymous in my brain with "spam." I'm not sure if I can think of a more boring CTA than "Subscribe to our newsletter."

If you want people to sign up for your email newsletter, it needs to stand out. Unless you're a breaking news scoop factory, you need to call your newsletter something else in order to differentiate it from the billions of other newsletters your prospect is already subscribed to.
