Building the KPI
We will go through these steps:
- Creating the Pill Section
- Adding the Rectangle Section
- Adding Headings and Description
- Adding KPI to the layout
Happy learning!
1. Creating the Pill Section:
- Head to Format your report page →Canvas background set Transparency to 0% and Color to #D9D9D9.

- In the Insert tab select Pill and in the Format visual → General →Properties set Height to 155 and Width to 300.

2. Adding the Rectangle Section:
- For the Pill shape expand Style →Fill, use #4A77D4 for Color and turn off Border.
- In the Insert tab select Rectangle and in the Format visual → General →Properties set Height to 155 and Width to 642.
- In Style →Fill, use White for Color and turn off Border.
- Put in on top of the Pill section.

3. Adding Headings and Description:
- In the Insert tab select Text box, type "Cost of Goods Sold", set Font to Segoe UI, size to 20, Color to #4A77D4, Bold the Font, alignment to Center, turn off Background.
- Add another Text box, type "Represents the direct costs of producing goods sold by a company", set Font to Segoe UI, size to 14, Color to #252423, alignment to Left and again turn off Background.

4. Adding KPI to the layout:
- Add a Card visual and put Cost of Goods Sold measure to it.
- In Visual change Sum operation to Average.
- Set Color to White, size to 25, turn off Category label, Bold the Font and in the Format visual → General →Effects turn off Background.

- From Insert → Elements → Image and adjust their sizes.

Similarly do the same for other two with Colors for the layout as #E45281 and #BBA655.
