Fiction Shorts | Random Word Drabble Challenge
A Drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.
The word of the day is MORBID. The twist is the given line: not all twins are alike.
I'd killed time at the gas station halfway there, stretching my back and people-watching with a level of fascination that bordered on morbid, but I was still early.
Not all twins are alike.
I pulled the PB&Js out of the cooler before heading through security. I'd promised Tim when we were ten and Mom had decided that we were all more than she'd bargained for that I would never abandon him, and I wasn't about to start now. The sandwiches were non-negotiable.
They brought him in cuffs, but pretended not to notice when we hugged.
187 weeks down.
