I'm guessing the idea is that Mamdani adopted all of his life philosophies, including his social amd political ideologies, before the age of 7 when he moved to the United States. This is serving as the primary basis for the disagreement people have with him. Never mind that he has traveled and studied amd been deeply involved in the communities he's lived in.

Instead, we are choosing to stereotype him and be outwardly (and inwardly) and systematically racist upon becoming aware of him, his desire to lead one of our largest cities and his success in being elected mayor of NYC. The citizens living there know what they experienced previously. and voted based upon their needs moving forward. That's really where this conversation and all the ignorant memes should end.

If not, let's discuss basic stereotyping. What does it say about you to be a member of your family? Do you represent all of the opinions. and beliefs of your family? Let's take white women from the United States. What do they say about us? Is it all true? Are we all different? Do we shape our beliefs over the course of time and through life experiences? Are we all the same? White men? Are you all the same? I dare say that white men would very quickly begin to differentiate themselves from things like the Klan or from being sexist or from all being athetes and sports watchers or beer drinkers or video game players. Bng hitters. etc macho men etc

Why, pray tell, or rather how, can any one of us take a person and based on the most superficial of characteristics, form and maintain an opinion of any value? And not only that, but an opinion that we maintain as RIGHT? Never having met a person. Judging and condemning people who literally have not demonstrated anything to substantiate our opinions?

We, on the other hand, are demonstrating who we are by showing how we see others. It's not a good look on anyone. Perhaps we might think about giving people. a chance before we make a hard and fast decision about who we see people as being. It will take us miles ahead in getting people to hear us and to respect what we think and say. And we will have actual examples to support what we are saying too.
