A 100-word drabble celebrating baseball, father-son moments, and the joy of sharing a simple hot dog.
The sun blazed over the grandstand. The spectators fanned themselves, cold drinks sweating in their hands.
Pete and his son David are perched in the stands with everyone else. David has loved baseball ever since he was a toddler. David, dwarfed by his new cap, munches on his hot dog, mustard streaked across his cheek. He slurps his cold juice gratefully.
He pauses as the pitcher gets in position. He grins at his dad in excitement. The game is about to begin.
Pete doesn't really care for baseball. But this? This right here?
He wouldn't trade it for the world.
Prompt: Write a story featuring a character eating a hot dog.
