Tired of being employed? Yeah, me too. It's easy to complain at work. You generally go into work at a time when you'd prefer doing something else. You don't actually want to be doing the tasks you are required to do at work, but you have to because you need to support yourself or your family. I'm not slandering jobs, but rather describing the paradox they put people in.

Companies are there to serve themselves, not you. That's where the structure breaks down. Not for the company, but it breaks down for the employee. You will not usually be paid what you are actually worth, you won't get the benefits you'd like, and the job will never fit your life the way you want it to.

Corporations are excellent at waxing poetic and saying they care about their employees in words and advertisements, but not in action. If companies truly cared more about their employees than their company statistics, you wouldn't have employees who have done an outstanding job for 20+ years getting fired due to company setbacks.

I'm not necessarily saying this is a problem, as the business is intrinsically built for the owner's or shareholders benefit in the long run. It's just that no amount of disgruntled coworkers will ever be able to change how that works. It's a dead end.

Jeff Bezos will generally always have a better financial future than Fulfillment Associate Sally in Tampa. Amazon will serve the customer to the best of its ability. That's how Amazon will stay afloat as a business. But it will never truly serve the employee to the best of its abilities. The employee isn't as valuable as the customer in the owner's eyes. The company will do whatever it can to keep the employee happy for as long as it can without ever actually making them happy.

Employment stinks for a wide majority of people. Some people have jobs that they absolutely adore, but I would say that's a small percentage of people. As you are reading this, you can probably relate. It's also one of the reasons you are on this platform — sso you can do what you love and end up making money from it at your pace, not some boss's pace.

The truth is, most of us are in jobs we hate because if we didn't keep them, we would not be able to pay our bills. Jobs can exploit us because they know we need them. They can break us down to our core, and we'll stay because we feel like we have to. Don't let your job destroy you as a person.

Fight the system and shoot for your dreams. Because even if you don't exactly become what you want, you can say you tried and not have regrets about it. We are not built to be in jobs that waste our lives away. I think we are built to have a positive impact on people's lives by doing things that we love. Strive for that with all your might. Keep feeding your dreams. They all probably won't come true, but some will, and some will amaze you with how they end up.

Don't settle for "that's just how it is." Don't get stuck in the same routine for years and wonder why you haven't moved forward. Gradually add more differences and actions to your schedule at your own pace, and watch yourself inevitably grow. Don't worry, I'll be on the same wild ride too.
