Fun fact: It took me 3+ months to reach 100+ views, but 30 days to reach 1000+ views.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thanks for the support you've been giving me these days. It truly means a lot. 🫂
:D
Ok, all emotional sentences aside, it's been a gripping journey (to say the least).
I still remember those painful moments of writing 7–8 articles a week for ONE DAMN VIEW; it's bad and sad (super sad, actually). When I saw that I wasn't lucky with this platform, I left it and focused on other things.
After two years, I came back. I had to use this platform as a portfolio for my freelance career and publish some articles.
The important part: I always disliked sticking with one business plan as a beginner because I knew if I started multiple types of businesses, I would be ahead. So that's what I did.
And I'm saying this to you because many experts recommend starting with one type of business at a time. You do what's best.
But if you want my advice, start more than one business model.
After a few months, I checked which business I was making more progress on, and surprisingly, it was writing articles (yay). After publishing some articles, I noticed I got some views and engagements.
From there, I took this platform seriously for the first time (after three years and failed attempts).
What Were My Predictions?

When I started to focus on this platform, I had one undemanding rule: Extreme Realistic Expectations (ERE).
I knew this journey wouldn't be life-changing, so it was extremely important to check where I was to make accurate predictions.
Where was I?
- I was writing 3–4 articles per month
- I was getting 35–45 views per month
- I had 30+ followers
Now that I have analyzed where I was, these are my predictions:
600+ Views At The End Of This Year
When you get 40+ views per month, surely you can't expect to get a lot of views next month without any hard work. That's just too good to be true.
Now, remember that one simple rule?
After being consistent with articles (from 3–4 articles to 10 articles per month), I noticed a significant increase in views. In less than a week, I've reached 100 views (which was a considerable achievement back then).
20 views per day was the highest I could achieve back then, and the next day, it would drop back to 10 views.
After calculating, I predicted that if I could get 20+ views every day without dropping views, I would get 600+ views every month at the end of this year. (so 20 views x 30 days = 600 views).
100 Followers At The End Of This Year
Unlike Instagram, getting followers on this platform is slightly tough (at least, organically speaking).
I didn't prioritize the importance of having a large audience, as I was using this platform as a simple portfolio. After I noticed I was getting more views, I started to grow my audience.
I was getting 3–5 followers per week, so I predicted that at the end of this year, I would get 100+ followers.
But I gotta admit, it was a pain in the bum to get some followers, but was it worth it in the end? 👀
I Will Write 25–30 Articles Per Month
When I used to write 3–4 articles per month, life was easier back then.
:(
Anyhow, after getting motivated by my views, I wanted to write every day since I used to hear from everywhere that being consistent is the key to success.
Let me tell you this: I had a migraine for an entire week. You wish I was joking, right?
What really happened?
After being consistent with writing, what happened? Were my predictions accurate?

1100+ Views In less than a month
I am happy to announce that my prediction was wrong (very inaccurate); it took less than a month to reach 1100+ views. 🤯
After writing almost every day, I noticed my views were significantly increasing. So I started to write even more, lol.
There was a time when I would get 20 views per day; now, it has reached 100 views per day. Not bad, not bad.
Almost 200 followers In less than a month
Remember when I said gaining followers was a pain? Well, I was wrong.
After engaging and being active, I noticed I was getting more followers (+10 followers per week).
As I mentioned before, my goal was to reach 100. But when I checked my profile, I noticed I had almost 200 followers.
I still remember that moment; I was like dude, wtf? 😂
I Write 10–15 Articles Per Month
Well, yeah…
My main goal was to write every day to see what would happen.
But then I had to stop because everything was getting tough and dizzier, lol.
It was a huge pressure to write every day. So I decided to write fewer articles every month.
Lessons I learned

- Writing every day doesn't boost your views or engagement, but it gives you a migraine.
- Engagement is more important than views and followers
- We can't always win; we will fall sometimes.
Conclusion
It was a small goal to reach, and I celebrated enough.
But now, it's time to focus more and reach another goal. If I can do it, you can do it too!
