If you want to be successful, you must:
- Work harder than anyone else
- Be consistent
- Have no weekends (weekends are for losers bro)
- Think about your business all day long
That's the only way!
"Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it."
Henry David Thoreau
Everything else is:
- Procrastination.
- Losers mentality
- Not good enough
It makes you weak.
And success is only for the toughest of the competition.
ENOUGH!!
I'm done with that stupid sh*t!
Vadim Zeland opened my eyes.
In his book Reality Transurfing, he explains how fighting the waves makes no sense.
How it drains you and eventually washes you to the shore.
Instead, you should go with the flow and make corrections to follow the best line.
Not to be aggressive or completely passive. To find the sweet spot of balance.
However, fighting is the most popular approach.
Fighting against the wave, until you burn out and get washed away.
I have been following that same mentality for 6 months now.
- It sucks!
- I hate it more and more every single day
- It drains your energy
- Fuels your self-doubt
You feel like you should do more than anyone else.
So you forget about your life.
You get into the trap that you must outwork everyone else, to get better results.
That you must sacrifice all other aspects of your life to build a business.
"Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life."
Dolly Parton
And that's exactly what happened to me.
5 weekly gym visits??? TOO MUCH! Only 2 times is necessary.
No qigong, who needs it? It doesn't pay the bills!
Make your breathwork short. 10 minutes is enough
Long walks? Forget about them! 20 minutes after each meal is enough!
Ditch breakfast, it takes time to prepare the smoothie!
Why would you study philosophy? It has nothing to do with business!
Listen to audiobooks on walks and when preparing meals. Don't waste a minute.
Planning the future? Don't waste your time! Talk about business.
Romantic dates with fiancée? Nah, talk about business.
And most importantly, forget about the guitar. It's only for pleasure and we don't need pleasure when building a business.
Reading fiction? How dare you even consider it! It's unproductive.
Hard to admit it. But that has been my life for the past months.
I sacrificed everything in order to build a business, and failed.
Constantly on the verge of burnout, full of self-doubt and anxiety.
I followed the path of workaholics.
- Their results
- Their flash
- Money
- Mansions
- Cars
- Traveling
It consumed me!
So I wanted to emulate their results by living their lives.
I completely forgot how well I felt when I was following the 5 Am Club routine by Robin Sharma (combined with the Everyday Hero Manifesto method).
- Taking time for self-care
- Working only 4h/day 4 times a week
- Taking 3 days off per week
- Playing guitar, enjoying fiction, and admiring art
- Spending time in nature
That's the life I want to live! That's the life I'm living from this moment on!
Surprise, surprise — I got more work done than now!
- I was able to write 2500 words in an hour
- My ideas were clearer
- My thinking faster
- I felt amazing
Not to mention, that I was living a much better life.
No regrets, and no blame, I'm just going back to the method that works for me.
And you should do the same.
- Find out which approach works best for you
- Find a way to balance your mental health, business, physical health, and relationships
- Choose for yourself and don't let others convince you to follow their method
It truly doesn't make sense to sacrifice your:
- Mental health
- Physical health
- Relationships
- Free time
Just to build a business.
You might actually get your results by following the workaholic routine.
But most people don't.
I wanted to show you another option.
The option that doesn't drain you, but can also lead to astonishing results.
So the choice is yours. Find out what works best for you.
And do just that
