My mum is from Hong Kong, my dad is from Malaysia, but I was born and raised in Sydney.
Growing up, I was that kid who always had her nose in a book or a pen in her hand.
Writing was my escape.
My little world.
I wrote short stories, poems, and pages of journal entries.
I poured everything out from my mind.
One of those stories I wrote was even published in a book.
As a child, that felt surreal.
Fast forward to adult me.
I'm still writing – but with a purpose now.
I've been sharing my thoughts online sporadically since 2020.
Now I want to grow it into a freelance writing business.
I specialise in creating content for healthcare businesses, helping them connect with their readers that builds trust and turns curiosity into clients.
Here's 10 things About Me
1. I love learning languages.
I've been learning Mandarin for a year (currently at HSK 3 level).
Cantonese is next on my list (we speak a little at home but I'm still the equivalent of a 5-year-old)
French is a close third.
2. Matcha is my go to drink.
My favourite is strawberry matcha lattes.
They're basically happiness in a cup.
3. I work in healthcare administration.
I've worked in an embryology lab before and now a genetics lab.
It's fascinating stuff – science never ceases to amaze me.
4. I'm an INFJ.
Deep analyser.
Big dreamer.
Professional over-thinker.
5. I have a pet rabbit.
But don't be fooled by his fluffiness.
He's adorable but savage when he wants to be.

6. I'm obsessed with Malatang.
If you've never tried it, you're missing out!
It's a Chinese street food where you pick your noodles, veggies, and meats, and they cook it all in a flavorful broth.
My comfort food in a bowl.
7. I've got the travel bug.
So far, I've explored Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
But I'm just getting started.
8. My full name is Elizabeth (but only my parents call me that).
To everyone else, I'm Liz or Liza.
9. My faith in God is a big part of my life.
It grounds me and gives me purpose.
Especially on tough days when everything feels like it's spiraling.
10. I'm building a freelance writing business.
Its not just for money's sake.
Its to learn how businesses work from the ground up and to also challenge myself.
At times, I've found working my day job to be a little boring and understimulating.
However, when your trying something new like freelancing, your forced to learn skills and problem solve in creative ways.
I'll be focusing on healthcare trends (especially mental health), freelancing, and personal development.
If any of this resonates, stick around!
I'm documenting the highs and lows as I chase this dream.
Hopefully, we'll learn something together.
