Meet my bestie— The one who greets me each morning With sweet songs and gentle whistles.

When anger finds me, it's never because of him— His melodies melt away my fury, Soft and soothing, like whispered peace.

But human civilization? It tries to drown him out With malicious noise and toxic air. Still, he always promises: "I will return when they rest. For if I leave you, I leave the world— And that would be the end of humanity."

When I feel lost, I go to him. I let cool waters calm my feet And still my restless soul.

The trees dance in joy, Sharing their sacred breath. Birds and animals raise a hopeful chorus: "Everything will be alright."

And that is my bestie— Nature, my most precious friend. tales from Aethelgard.
