Why do you meditate?
What is the outcome of your meditations?
You want to reach enlightenment. A state of full comprehension of a situation, reaching a peak in the vast landscape of human consciousness. It's the pinnacle of clarity and understanding that many aspire to but few claim to reach.
A common roadblock? An empty heart.
An empty heart is one devoid of contentment, compassion, and connection, all of which tie to the experiences that bind us to the experience of enlightenment.
How were you taught how to reach enlightenment? In my experience, my teacher told me to close my eyes and to sit in a comfortable place for hours. Breathing in and out, clearing all thoughts. Is that your experience with meditation? A calmness, a feeling of peace and quiet? Of course, this was NOT the right way to teach me. I was misinformed about the techniques and types of meditation. Enlightenment can only be possible with the main ingredient, which is LOVE.
I will share my techniques below; please bare with me. I want everyone who is new to meditation to do it right. In sharing my technique, I hope you receive visions and gain access to another realm. These are my personal experiences, of course, my disclaimer, every experience is different for everyone.
Enlightenment is not merely a destination, you know; it is the culmination of a journey that encompasses the whole of human experience—the emotional, intellectual, and spiritual faculties. The heart, traditionally seen as the seat of emotion, must be brimming with these intrinsic qualities to facilitate a connection with the deeper energies that guide us towards enlightenment.
Connection is the currency of enlightenment. It is through our bonds with others, with nature, and with deeper aspects of ourselves that we find the wisdom and insight necessary for enlightenment.
An empty heart cannot forge these connections. Why? It lacks the empathy and vibrancy required to resonate with the universe's subtler frequencies.
Compassion is the fuel for the journey towards enlightenment. It is the compassionate heart that extends beyond self, seeking to alleviate suffering and understand the interdependent nature of our existence. Without compassion, the quest for enlightenment is a hollow endeavor, anchored in the ego rather than elevated by altruism.
So when you embark on a path of enlightenment with an empty heart, it's like navigating this path without a compass. The heart MUST be filled with love, joy, and peace—qualities that build the foundation for spiritual growth.
So how do you fill the void of an empty heart? Perhaps when you practice acts of kindness and mindfulness, hopefully creating a fertile ground for the seeds of enlightenment to take root and grow. Enlightenment is not an external treasure one can just find while wandering with an empty heart.
It is the blossoming of the inner lotus in the lake of a full heart.
Only then can we align our energy with the greater cosmos and dance in the light of true oneness.
I am hoping you enjoyed this piece.
I would love to hear your thoughts about this. Are we aligned? Are you practicing the right methods of meditation and has this led you to enlightenment?
My meditation techniques.
The first step is to take care of emotional baggage, heal broken relationships, and ACCEPT every aspect of your today. You cannot move forward if you have hate in your heart or bad blood between people; you must be in a state of not wanting anything in your heart. Including romance.
- Your heart should prepare itself. Start with a memory that gives you a giggle—a happy moment in time as far back as you can remember. If it's an animal, remember the hug. Any good memory. When you have a smile on your face, you are ready.
- A comfortable sitting position in bed, on a couch, or on a yoga mat. You must be completely comfortable. No sounds; if possible, wear noise-canceling headphones.
- Closing my eyes. Breathe everything in, all the chaotic thoughts; just let them through each breath in, then blow out all of these thoughts. Continue until you have no other chaos flowing through your mind. Do not sift through these thoughts; this can take hours. Just let all the thoughts flow.
- Your heart must be full. You have no wants—not hungry, not thirsty—just like you are surrendering to sleep every night. Just let go. I have to imagine falling into a deep abyss, falling and falling, not worrying about what I hit on the bottom.
- I cannot claim to have reached enlightenment. When I am in deep surrender, I do see visions, shapes, fields of flowers, a deep ocean, and sometimes the edge of the portal where I walk into them.
If you need to reach me and discuss this, let me know. It takes years of practice. I reached this state in 3 years. I did have to take care of all past traumas and move forward.
