A long time ago :D (Just kidding, before 4 years), I was working on a freelancing project. the project was based on stock trading and stock market analysis. where I use PowerBI, and during my job at Vappar — The Consult Things, we are using Grafana for our IoT data. I can say, both tools are totally different. Comparing these tools are not possible.

Why? Simple Grafana focused on TimeSeries Data (have other features but not as good) Power BI is for business Analytics and really great in this.

I try to cover my IoT needs in Power BI at first because at that time I just know the working of Power BI only. But I face many issues. I create some beautiful #analytics but that is not enough for my all needs. Then I start using Grafana.

Still, I didn't experiment in depth, in terms of technical abilities.

I found a picture on the internet about these tools, I think it is a good picture. (The picture is from "Metricfire" from an article that probably written for the purpose of Marketing.)

One of my connections (Uzair Muhammad) asked me about this, also in my office. Developers ask me the same question. So I thought to write about my experience to share and record over the internet. This not a detailed overview. But it has main point. Both tools are good, depends on what is your use case, where you want to use it. Last but not least, which kind of data you have.

I never use Quicksight so difficult for me to say anything.
